Hungary has taken delivery of 44 Leopard 2A7HU tanks

Germany has completed Hungary's order of 44 Leopard 2A7HU tanks to the Hungarian Defence Force .

Back in 2018 the Hungarian government purchased 44 Leopard 2A7HU main battle tanks from Germany in a €1.5 billion defence deal.

On 30/12/2025 Hungary has confirmed all 44 tanks have been delivered to the Hungarian Defence Force.

The Leopard 2A7HU is replacing Hungary's aging T-72 tanks that have been in service since 1970s.
